Board Elections
Now is your opportunity to help grow Division 3 Water Volleyball
The D3 WVB Program is looking to fill three board positions effective May 1st. New board members will work in conjunction with the current Co-Chairs, John Gunsallus and Gail Norwood to manage the Division 3 Water Volleyball Program.
Newly elected board members will serve a one-year team and serve in several capacities to support the division including, but not limited to, pool scheduling, managing the D3 website, responding to player questions, and supporting planned activities such as player forums, tournaments, etc. Please also see Board Member Duties for more details about the duties and responsibilities of a board member.
Qualifications
Candidates for a seat on the D3 WVB Board must:
be a D3 rated player for a minimum of six consecutive months
regularly participate in D3 play (e.g. 60% of play is with Division versus Groups or Organized)
not have any Code of Conduct violations within the last two years
be “all-in” as pertaining to the purpose, policies, and procedures of the D3 WVB program, and actively contribute to the overall good of the program
adhere to the requirements and responsibilities defined within Board Member Duties
Voting
All current D3 players will be provided the ability to vote for 1 male and 1 female candidate from the list of nominees.
The male and female nominee who receives the highest number of votes will fill the first two open board positions. The third position will be filled by the nominee (male or female) who receives the highest percentage of votes from the list of remaining nominees.
Election Schedule
March 16th – April 4th (5:00pm cutoff): Nomination forms accepted
April 7th – April 25th (5:00pm cutoff): Voting
Note: Voting will be done via the D3 WVB Stack Team app and results will be shared once all nominees are contacted.
